Why have you organised the directory by location?

The first reason is that customers are looking for interpreters to work at a given location. The second reason is that as search engine specialists we have an understanding of how people use search engines. Many people searching the internet for services often specify location as search parameter. We believe that there are two reasons for this. The first is that they feel more confident when using a local service, the second is simply that they often add location to reduce the number of search results returned.

Why not organise the directory by specialisation?

We are developing a specialisation view on the data. This should be launched shortly.

Is it really free to join the directory?

Yes a basic entry in the directory is currently free, however in the future we may charge new members. We also plan to offer a paid membership entry. This paid version will have additional features not present in the basic entry.

I'm not based in the UK. How can the directory help me?

The site is to be expanded to provide "by location" pages for other countries.
